From Narita Airport
  • Take Airport Limousine bus to Hotel Grand Pacific Le Daiba, and take a walk to the Daiba Station. Take Yurikamome Line and get off at the Funeno-kagakukan Station.
  • Take Narita Express to Tokyo Station, take JR Yamanote Line, and get off at the Shimbashi Station. Take Yurikamome Line to Funeno-kagakukan Station.




CURRENCY EXCHANGE
The Japanese currency is yen. Yen can be purchased at airports, foreign exchange banks, major hotels and authorized money exchanges upon presentation of your passport.

TRAVELER'S CHEQUE AND CREDIT CARDS
Traveler's cheques are not as widely used in Japan as in most other countries and are accepted only by major banks and hotels. Major credit cards are widely accepted.
A service charge is included in some bills.
The consumption tax (VAT) rate is 5%.

INSURANCE
Participants are recommended to arrange their own overseas travel insurance.

CLIMATE
The summer in Tokyo is usually hot and humid. The daytime temperature rises up to 30 degree C or more. Light clothes are enough, but we recommend you to bring light jackets, since indoors are sometimes strongly air-conditioned.

TIME ZONE

All of Japan is in a single time zone, nine hours ahead of GMT. There is no system of Daylight Saving Time in Japan.

ELECTRICAL APPLIANCE
100 volts and a flat two-pronged plug is used. 50Hz in eastern Japan.
